Thursday, June 27  +  St. Vincent de Paul Church in the Msgr. Jamail Family Center Room 208  +  7:00pm
Why does the Church think it can tell me what to do?  Isn’t it full of sinners anyway?  Can’t I just pray on my own and decide for myself?  Do I need the Church to be a good person?  Do you ever wonder how to address these questions adequately?  Perhaps you yourself are wondering why the church teaches what it does.  Come by St. Vincent’s for an informative talk and discussion forum.  Bring your questions and your own insights to share.  The first topic in this summer series is Subjectivism and Church Authority.  We will meet on the last Thursday of the month for June, July and August.

St. Thomas More Women’s ACTS Retreat July 18-21, 2013

Many of the women at SVDP voiced an interest in attending a retreat before next year when we will sponsor our 1st here at SVDP. However, to be able to help with the retreat, you have to have attended an ACTS Retreat. I'm hoping some of our ladies will attend this retreat at St Thomas More so that we will have more SVDP women available to help when we sponsor our retreat. Registration forms are at the SVDP Church Office front desk.

St. Vincent de Paul Women’s ACTS Retreat February 27-March2, 2014

We are going to host our very own Women’s Acts retreat!  If you cannot attend the St. Thomas More retreat, you’re in luck, because we are having our own!  At this retreat you will take some time away from your busy schedule to come away for a while and be with the Lord.  You will have the opportunity to hear some amazing talks, build lasting friendships, and deepen your prayer life.  Mark this date on your calendar, and look for more details to come!
