I've just found the detail note CJ sent me a month ago about just what we will need to have on hand once FP does its part:

What kind of switch are you talking about at the end, CJ?  Where can I get one? Why do you prefer a mesh 2.4? Just to cover households that are close and might be below the band of transmission?

Peter

:You will need to get Sovernet to the location to hang the IAD and test the connection. You should contact them asap and find out what they need available for their setup and testing - electrical connections, outlet boxes, weatherproof boxes, surge protection, etc.

The CCU, antenna, weather proof box, and cable (I believe) are in boxes at my house. The cable will need to have ends put on - four in total. One at each existing end, and two in the middle somewhere for the lightening protector. You will also need some "U" claps to attached the antenna to the mast.

I would also like to see a 2.4Ghz antenna mounted up there as well. If this is approved, the 2.4Ghz gear will need to be purchased (I would like to see a Meraki mesh unit used, but whatever everyone agrees on works for me) and possibly an external antenna for it. This will also mean a second cat5 will need to be run up the mast and a switch will need to be purchased and installed in Blake's house unless one is already on hand to divert a connection to Blake."
