Fair Point Didn't Show Up

As you know, we have been waiting for the last three months for Fair
Point Communications to show up and connect our new T1. In mid-June
they promised us an date for installation of September 23. We
waited. When the date arrived, they didn't show. They didn't even tell
Sovernet (our immediate provider) that they had postponed the
installation. All Fair Point is willing to offer us now is a new
proposed date for installation.

So, if your reception is poor(as mine is) or if you have been waiting
patiently and for a long time to become connected, please realize that
the directors of the cooperative are doing all they can. Personally, I
find Fair Point's behavior a mixture of incompetence and arrogance.

I have contacted the public services arm of the VT state government
about this matter. I have received a promising reply.

Dear Dave,

Many thanks for this offer. Right now I am getting good responses from the VT Deptment of Public Services. If that doesn't do the trick, I will ask you for advice about the next step. Certainly SVBC wants to keep the board informed about our problems and progress.
