The news for all members is that discussions with the VT State
Department of Public Services have been fruitful. Corey Chase and
others there have been extremely sympathetic to our situation and have
acted energetically. Glad to live in a state where government actually
notices citizens and groups.

As of yesterday, Fair Point was to have finished their work,
encouraged by the Department. If it did not happen yesterday--I am
away but communicating with Blake--I expect it to happen early next
week.

I am just about competent now in programming new antennas, and I hope
to see a growing group of members willing to hold ladders (and climb
them). With that, and continued generous help from Alan, CJ, Bob,
Chip, George, Ken Butcher (when he can) and Dana, I hope to connect
lots of new members quickly once the T1 is up.

Our next project will be mounting the School antenna on a tall flag
pole. To do that we need

1. A welder? Can any of you help us?

2. A bucket truck.

The coop is prepared to pay a fair price for either or both of these
services. If you can't help us, please tell me about people who can;

We should have another month fo good weather. Let's gete together and
get these projects done.
