We are trying something different this month. We are inviting college
students to come and give Lightning Demos of their current projects
using Google Technology. For starters, we will have some students
joining us from USF that are taking an introductory programming class
this semester using Python and Google App Engine. They will show us
some of their student projects using GAE. However, we are inviting
other college students from throughout the bay area to participate
too. Please forward this meeting announcement to college students that
you know.

We are requesting advance registration for this event. In particular,
please be careful to register appropriately as a Student or Other for
the non-students. Student registration will involve specifying the
school you currently attend. Also, students can optionally sign up to
participate in the lightning talks as part of their registration.
Please register in advance here:

Our meeting this month is being co-hosted by the Web 2.0 Mapping and
Social Networks Group A.K.A. the WebMapSocial Meetup:

Finally, there will be time during the networking hour for a few
lightning demos by our Non-Student members too. Non-Student group
members that would like to do that can contact me directly at van dot
gtug at gmail dot com.

That's All Folks, Van
