Hi Folks,
I hope all are well and thriving in this marble-cake of an economy. The list has been pin-drop quiet for a while, so I thought I'd stick my head out above the weeds.
Does anybody have or know of a Mac I can borrow or rent/trade services to practice on a bit? Next week, I'm going to start at Apple as a contract editor and am looking for a non-ancient Mac (Mac OS X) to practice on. The last Mac I had was a Quadra (1995), which has the Classic OS on it. The hiring manager knows this, but I'd like to acquaint myself with the new OS and widgets before starting the job.
The rental quote I've gotten so far was $199 for one day.
