Our consumer networking products client needs a Contract Technical
Writer to create installation and user documentation for
administrators of small office/home office (SOHO) networks as well as
project-manage multiple related projects.

The project will require 30-40 hours/week of effort for three (3) or
four (4) months. You must work onsite in San Jose. You will be paid on
a 1099 or corp-to-corp basis, although W2 is possible if you prefer.

Required:
• Demonstrable experience creating LAN installation and setup
documentation for non-technical network administrators in a small
office environment
• Work history as a Lead Technical Writer, Publications Manager, or
Documentation Program Manager
• Project-management experience in a computer documentation
environment
• Strong working knowledge of FrameMaker (preferably v9, unstructured
mode)
• Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator
• Basic illustration skills

Desired:
• Experience documenting storage systems and/or routers
• Willingness to transition to staff/salaried status
