“Iron Spirit” Award
It is time to open nominations for the "Iron Spirit" award. This award is given out each season to the person that best embodies what the team is all about. The recipient is somebody who is committed to the cause and to the team. We know that everyone on the team fits this description but ideally this is the person whom you observed to be helpful, supportive, and an all-around asset to the team as a whole throughout the course of the season. This is an award for a new participant, so while we know that the Mentors, Captains and Coaches were awesome this year, they are not eligible for this award.

Please send your nominations to ME ONLY at rm...@finndesigngroup.com or ron...@yahoo.com by this Saturday evening. Send me the name, and a quick sentence or two why you are nominating this person. I'll gather the nominations up and send out a ballot that we'll vote on until Tuesday. (Note, please send your nominations to me only so that everybody gives this some thought and you guys don't all influence each other). The winner of the “Iron Spirit” Award will be announced at the Wrap-up Party on October 5th.

So much for not influencing other's votes. I think Nick is a fine candidate, but I think there are other people who should at least be mentioned or thought about. I think Claudia is one who should at least be up for this award. I also think that Alison Cahill should be considered. Just my 2 cents.
