Hi Cycle and IronTeam Staff –

 

Hope that you are all having a great week.

 

Our events are right around the corner and so is our final fundraising deadline.  So what is our Focus Topic?  Final Fundraising… Hello!  J

 

Deadlines for specific events are as follows:

 

Friday, August 30             Ironman Lake Tahoe

 

Wednesday, Sep. 4            RTC Viva Bike Vegas Gran Fondo  and Moab Century Tour

 

Wednesday, Sep. 18         Levi’s Gran Fondo

 

 

I have attached the Team Rosters and marked all participants that have not met their Commitment in bold red characters.

 

I would like all Coaches to communicate Final Fundraising dates at your Trainings this weekend.

 

I would like all Mentors to reach out to those Mentees and check in with them and find out how they are doing with their fundraising, status update and communicate to them that we are going to process final charges on the specific dates above.  Once you have checked in with them. Please send me an update by Tuesday, August 27th with details of your conversation with your Mentees.

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers – Final Fundraising

 

If you would like to receive “soft credit” for any funds that either (1) have not been sent to Paycor or (2) have been sent but have not yet been processed by Paycor, please do the following before your final fundraising deadline:

 

-          Fax us copies of the checks you do not see reflected on your Paycor account at  408-490-2663

-          If you have not mailed in donations you have received, please do so immediately

 

**Please note that all soft credits must be processed and in your Paycor account by the week proceeding your event. 

 

1. My account total is less than the amount I have raised.  Why?

 

The total we use to determine your final fundraising balance reflects the amount Paycor (our accounting office in Ohio where you have been sending your offline donations) has processed by the final fundraising date.  It generally takes Paycor three (3) weeks from the time you mail your donations to process them into your account.   Funds that you mailed in two to three weeks ago may not have been processed yet.  **There is not a lag time for online donations.  (If you have cash, you may wish to donate to yourself online to expedite the process)

 

2. If my minimum is not met by the final fundraising deadline, will the credit card/blank check I gave at recommitment be charged/cashed?

 

Yes.  Charges will be processed on your final fundraising deadline.  If you would like the balance to be charged to a different card than what you submitted at recommitment, please call the office before that deadline.

 

3. What if you charge me at the final fundraising deadline and I receive donations afterwards? 

 

LLS will process a one-time reimbursement for charges made.  This reimbursement request must be made within a month after your event date.  Reimbursements can only be issued for the monies reflected in your Paycor account. 

 

4. What if my “soft credits” do not clear by the week before my event?

 

If they have not cleared by this time, you will be charged the remaining amount to meet your minimum.  You may then request a reimbursement once the check(s) have cleared if you so desire.  If you are not at your minimum (either through donations or a final fundraising charge) by the event date, you will not participate in your event or event weekend activities.

 

5. How long after my event can I send in received donations?

 

As long as you receive them, you can keep sending them in.  There is no deadline for funds you raise above and beyond your minimum!  Remember, however, the latest you can request a reimbursement is a month after your event.

 

6. What happens if my minimum is not met by the final fundraising deadline, and the charge on my credit card is declined and/or the check I gave you bounces?


You will not be permitted to attend or participate in the event with Team In Training.  The Society will  cancel all travel, lodging accommodations, as well as pull your event entry.  Also, you will not be permitted to participate in future seasons of Team In Training until the minimum for this event is met. The recommitment document that you each signed was a legal agreement to raise the minimum funds for the event  You a therefore responsible to raise the funds whether or not you attend the event.

Mentor,

 

I have not received updates from all of you regarding your Mentees.

 

We are just a couple days away from Final Fundraising Charges being done for Ironman Lake Tahoe.  Below, please see the latest update as of today.
