My Blue 05 is now 20 years old.  It's been doing well with over 50k miles on it, but of course there's stuff that wears out and maintenance mode is the protocol of the day.  I could list all the latest repairs/replacements, but perhaps another time.  For now, I'm focusing on the headlamp.  Based on my email records, I replace the bulb in 2012, so this one has lasted a good long time.  I replaced it with a  9003 Philips Crystal Vision Ultra Headlight Bulb.  I see they are still available, but since it's been 10+ years, I was wondering if there were any alternatives worthy of consideration.  For example, is there an LED replacement that would improve upon the old tech?  Anyone with experience and knowledge here would be greatly appreciated.

Get an ARC Tiny Monster Concept LED # 21041
You won't regret it, I have been selling them for about 9 or 10 years. Anyone that buys a set likes them so much that they come back for more.

Thanks for the quick response, Jeremy.  A couple of questions, please:
1.  Is this a direct plug-in without modifications?
2.  How much does an ARC Tiny Monster Concept LED # 21041 cost and do you have a good source?  I see lots of entries online for LED #21041, but the ARC site is quoting $200.

Direct plug and play. I sell them for about $150 plus tax at my store.  Should be able to get them at most Napa stores that source stuff from Keystone Automotive.  Depending on the store they may charge more.

It looks like the 21041 kit is for the SVS with two headlights. Do you have a naked SV? They’re 3000 lumens per bulb. A quick Google search finds LED drop ins forthe entire reflector assembly with 3800 lumens for $120. I’m sure there are a lot more plug and play options as well. I’ve never seen these in person, but you can probably find reviews on Amazon.

Hi, Steve,

I have always appreciated your responses over the years since they have always led me to good solutions.  I do have a 2005 naked.

I looked at the LedPerf website and I found two options for the headlight.  What I like about this website is that I can purchase one bulb.  Here's what I found (for others to benefit):

LED Conversion Kit Bulb for Suzuki SV 650 N (2003 - 2010) - Mini Size (4500 lumens)

Ref :  KITLDSV650N1266WH $78

https://www.ledperf.us/led-conversion-kit-bulb-for-suzuki-sv-650-n-2003-2010-mini-size-p-16814.html

LED Bulb Kit for Suzuki SV 650 N (2003 - 2010) Motorcycle (4000 lumens)

Ref :  KITLDSV650N1266WHMC  $58

https://www.ledperf.us/led-bulb-kit-for-suzuki-sv-650-n-2003-2010-motorcycle-p-26179.html

And, as long as I was there I looked at upgrading my turn signals lights:

Rear LED Turn Signal pack for Suzuki SV 650 N (2003 - 2010)

Ref :  PCKCRSV650N1266OR  $30

https://www.ledperf.us/pack-rear-led-turn-signal-for-suzuki-sv-650-n-2003-2010-p-16817.html

It appears the front and rear sets are the same part numbers (which makes sense).

So, for $120 I can upgrade all my lights (except for the brake lights where I'm not sure if that's needed or even an option to consider).

Thanks for another good tip.  I'm glad you are a long time contributor to this forum throughout the years.

-Leslie

Just sharing another find in my research.  I've been focusing on the more simple replacement of the bulb.  There are an overwhelming # of choices out there.  When I focused on applications for motorcycles, I also realized that space may be an issue as many LED bulbs incorporate cooling fans.  I did find this version that minimizes the space from a contributor on SVRider:

If anyone has any experience with either LedPERF or Auxito bulbs on their SV, sharing it here would be appreciated!
