What's Happening?
What a difference a year makes! It's hard to believe that I've been doing this newsletter for a year now. I want to thank all of you who have stuck with me throughout the year and have supported me in my writing. You guys are the best! Over the next few months this newsletter is going to undergo some changes. I hope that these changes will be for the better. :) More on that later...
A lot has happened since I wrote the last newsletter three months ago. The publishing world is changing fast and I'm changing right along with it. In April and May I self-published not one, but FOUR new contemporary, erotic romance novellas. Three are part of a new collection called "The Ecstasy Spa Series" and one is a fun beach read that is turning out to be my best seller so far this year ("Two Are Better Than One"). These self-publishing stories have shown record sales for me and I couldn't be happier. It proved that if you write a good book sell it at a good price, people will buy it.

In June I got the rights back to a paranormal story I wrote back in 2010. This story, called Cria, has been edited and re-released as a self-published work. While editing I remembered that I had originally intended this book to be a part of a trilogy. I found my notes for books #2 and #3 and I hope to have them out early next year. All together, I'm calling these books my Jungle Heat series.

In addition to my self publishing, I put out a second book in my Immortal Hungers Series with Ellora's Cave. Unholy Cravings, a M/F/M menage, came out this past June. Goodness, I can't tell you how much I love this world building. I think it's my favorite out of all my books. If you like fantasy erotic romance you really need to try it. I hope to start writing book #3 in the fall.

On top of all this, I've started a blog called "Romance on a Budget." This blog not only helps writers stretch their royalty dollars, but helps BOTH readers and writers add that special spark back into their relationships without breaking the bank. Behind the Scenes
So, what are these big changes that I'm talking about in the subject line of this email? First and foremost, I'm dedicated to bringing you quality books at a great price. The best way I know how to do that at this point in my career is through self publishing. In July, I will be combining the three stories of the Ecstasy Spa series into one anthology and pricing it at a discount for readers. Then in August-October I'll be releasing three new stories in this series, all menages. The first story has already gone through a beta reader, who told me that it's the hottest story I've written to date. :) I can hardly wait to share it with you.
IMHO the next big frontier in publishing will be audiobooks and I'm working hard to get my self-published stories in this format. While nothing is official yet, I hope to make some announcements this fall, so stay tuned. :)
In an effort to manage my self published work and make it more widely distributed, I've created the publishing company Electric Ink Press. I have secured a domain name and hope to have a website up in Q4 2012. It will be my goal to have something new to offer readers each month through this press. The material will be either a new, original work, a re-release of an older work, a free read, or a bundle of previous stories offered at a discount. To help everyone stay on top of these great offers, this newsletter will go out once a month starting in September. Things are happening fast with my writing and I want you, my fans, to be the first to know what's going on. I also want you to get the best deals, so I'll be offering coupon codes exclusive for newsletter subscribers. I can hardly wait! ;)
Right now, all of my self-published works are available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, All Romance Ebooks, Kobo and 1PlaceforRomance. By the end of July, I hope to have all of them available at Deisel, Apple and Sony. By the end of the year, they'll be available at Page Foundry, Siren-Bookstrand and Baker&Taylor. With all of this self-publishing going on, many of you might be wondering if I have given up on writing for e-publishers. My answer is a resounding "NO!" I have a lot of series going on at different publishers and it is my commitment to see all of them through to completion. For some of these series, I'm waiting to get the rights back first. After the rights have reverted, I'll continue writing about your favorite characters through self-publication. With other series I will continue to write for the specific epublisher. If you are a fan of the Kyron Pack series, the Immortal Hungers Series or my small town romance that takes place in Larona Falls, rest assured that you will see new content within the next eight months, and series completion by December 2013.
I have also signed a new contract with Siren-Bookstrand for a new Warlock Menage trilogy (Warlock Mating Chronicles - all m/m/f menages). The first book in that series, Bonded in Blood, will be published September 4, 2012. The second and third books are planned for early 2013. No book cover yet for that first book. As soon as I get one, I'll put it up on my website.
There's lots more going on, but I'll talk about it at another time. It's all in the developmental stages and I don't want to overwhelm anyone with what's going on. :) Let's just say that it's an exciting time in publishing and I'm thrilled to be a part of it.
