Dear TDAA

The SUU Dance program is excited to host Rachel Holman from Red Rock Dance Festival. She will be teaching: 

March 5th, 2026 
8:30am-9:50am
10:00am-11:20am
Multipurpose Center Rm 116 

In addition to the classes, she will also be discussing the Red Rock Dance Festival held in St. George Utah May 27-May 30, 2026. For those of you who are new, many of our previous faculty, students, and alumni have participated in the festival! You can read more about it here:

A little about Rachel:

Rachel Holman is a passionate dance educator with her MFA in Choreography and Performance in Dance from the University of Arizona. She also received her BS degree in Dance and Health Education from Southern Utah University where she later returned as faculty to teach and choreograph. She completed her 200 hour Yoga teaching certification in 2025 and Reformer Pilates teaching certification in 2026. She is currently the Artistic Director for the Red Rock Dance Festival and choreographer and principal dancer for the St. George Dance Company. Over the past eight years she has choreographed many dance works and produced several screen dance films for SGDC. Her choreography has been selected to perform in the Tucson Museum of Art and Sears Art Gallery, University of Arizona and Southern Utah University, and Red Rock Dance Festival. Rachel is passionate about all forms of collaboration in dance. She has co-choreographed and premiered RRDF works for the St. George Dance Company with Justin Giles and SoulEscape, Marlana Doyle and Houston Contemporary, Bernard Gaddis and Contemporary West Dance Dance Theatre, Kelly Ann Vitacca and Vitacca Ballet, Joy Bollinger and Bruce Wood Dance, and Kia Smith and South Chicago Dance Theatre. She has an extensive musical theatre and dance performance background including lead understudy and dancer in the National Broadway Tour of the musical Footloose and Cassie in A Chorus Line. In addition, she currently serves as a master teacher, dance educator, arts advocate, and guest judge for the Southern Utah community. She is a proud wife and mother who is deeply grateful for the love and support of her husband, Nate Holman, and their five children—Jackson, Brenan, Kaden, Emmy, and Hallie—as she lives out her dreams.
