Dear TDAA, 

The dance faculty looks forward to reviewing Black Box Dance Grants. Please be mindful of the application deadlines below as well as the description. 

• Spring 2026 BBDG Application Deadline: Monday, September 22nd, 2025 at 11:59pm with notification by Friday, September 26th, 2025 11:59pm

Black Box DANCE Grants (BBDG): The Department of Theatre, Dance, and Arts Administration (TDAA) is accepting applications for Black Box Dance (BBDG) Projects. Proposals for BBDG projects might encompass Dance, Performance, or Theatre. We encourage creative use of a variety of spaces on campus and discussion of multiple potential venues within your proposal. While budgets of up to $200.00 will be considered, note that the primary resource(s) made available to awardees via the grant are TDAA administrative infrastructure, spaces, supplies, and staff–more than a financial award. TDAA can sponsor up to two Black Box Dance Projects per academic year– typically one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester. Learn more about the grant here.
