Hello College and University Opera and Musical Theatre Departments!
We hope that you're having a wonderful start to the school year!
Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre is excited to announce that we are now accepting Non-Union audition submissions for our summer 2026 season consideration. This season will include the following shows on the Ellen Eccles Main Stage:
Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance
Peter Stone and Sherman Edward's 1776
And on our second stage, The Utah Theatre:
Derrick Wang's Scalia/Ginsberg
Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years (Already cast but we will be casting covers)
Plus additional concerts, events, and opportunities to perform.
Most Artistic Contracts will run May 23 - July 5th and compensation will include negotiated pay, travel (if applicable), and housing (if applicable).
If your students would like to submit for consideration for any/all of these productions we request the following:
1.Headshot
2. Resume
3. At least two videos with contrasting songs, and a monologue or an example of dialogue. Please send links to websites/youtube/etc rather than attachments.
4. It's also helpful if you'd like to submit a list of roles/covers or opportunities the artist is hoping to be considered for.

As our Artistic team will need to be able to access all videos please also make sure they are not restricted or given limited timed access. At this time we do not anticipate offering Equity contracts this summer so please send non-union submissions.
Our deadline for submissions is Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Additional materials may be requested and call backs (NYC and other cities) may be scheduled at a later date.
