Applications Are Open: Jacob’s Pillow Summer 2026

Dear Danielle,

Applications are open for Summer 2026 programs at The School at Jacob’s Pillow on a rolling basis while space remains. Experience the magic of the Pillow as you train, create, and perform in the heart of nature at the longest-running dance festival in the United States. Live and work alongside Festival artists, participate in one-of-a-kind programs such as Dance as Social Transformation: Kinetic Visioning and Musical Theatre, explore the historic Jacob's Pillow Archives, attend world-class performances, and join a global dance community.

We invite you to apply for the two summer programs highlighted below:

Dance as Social Transformation: Kinetic Visioning
July 20 – August 2, 2026

Led by d. Sabela grimes, Michele Byrd-McPhee, Nina Flagg, Onye Ozuzu, and Shakia Barron, this two-week program brings together 24 artists who share a commitment to embodied and somatic practice. Rooted in club, street, and social dance lineages, the program centers movement as a way of seeing, imagining, and shaping the world. This program is designed for artists who are prepared to work in a shared, community-centered environment.

Apply Today!

Musical Theatre
July 20 - August 2, 2026

The Musical Theatre program brings together 24 early-career, professional, or advanced-level performers to train and create with Choreographer/Directors Dominique Kelley, Mayte Natalio, and Luis Salgado. Each day begins with technique, improvisation, vocal training, or acting-based classes, followed by rehearsals creating dance-driven work for musicals in development. The program culminates in a performance on the iconic outdoor Henry J. Leir Stage.
