Dearest friends and dance enthusiasts, I am writing to say a big hello and to cordially invite you to dance-theater events for 2026. |

| For the Dance at the Odyssey ‘26 platform in West LA, an evening with two new works. First up is the premiere of BEASTS, co-choreographed with performers and Scripps/UCLA alums Divya Ahuja, Rian Alcid, and Sasha Marlan-Librett. In this raucous piece, the trio ride a wave of cultural commentary through disassociation and media dis-assemblage — unearthing what lies beneath our incessant distractions. I also revisit and perform BLUE, a development of a recent solo that is close to my heart. In this more intimate work, I spiral through a mirage of complex characters, big movements, and rough tasks, grappling with personal and collective despair. For this special event, the haunting music of Ryuichi Sakomoto is played live by acclaimed pianist and friend Hao Haung. Please join us, JAN 15-17 @ 8pm at the Odyssey Theatre.

“Highlighting our very human desire to passively observe the grotesque.” “With humor and deeper thought-provoking moments…Williamson speaks to broader experiences and concerns in our current political climate.” -Rachel Turner, LA Dance Chronicle |

| | I’d also like to introduce CO/lab 2026, an experimental gathering hosted by choreographer Rebecca Lemme and me. CO/lab is a two-week laboratory focused on shared choreographic ideas and interpersonal inquiry with a culminating performance. Produced my Becca and me and made collaboratively with dance artists David Bernal-Fuentes, Dani Burd, Samuel Macias, William (FEDEX) McAfee, Dalya Modlin, Elsie Neilson, Jennifer Vieweg, and Riv Villanueva, the performance will focus on polarities—how we navigate, hold, ride, and subvert a spectrum of (seemingly) discordant emotions and states...together. This special event, rooted in the spirit of collaborative movement investigation and co-creation, will premiere at Stomping Ground LA on JAN 11 @ 2pm. TICKETS HERE! |

| | And on Feb 2 at 7:30pm at the Wende Museum, Emily Barasch + me share an evening for WIP 020 (woo hoo!). WIP is an artist-led, work-in-progress performance platform co-founded by dance artists Kate Wallich, Stephanie Zaletel, and Belize Wilheim. It’s a “low-tech” space to share evolving works with audiences, fostering curiosity, dialogue, and critical exchange at every stage of development. This new work, ILL-EQUIPPED, will feature a number of surprise guests and ideas. You won’t want to miss it, I promise. ;) INFO HERE!
It has been the greatest blessing to be in collaboration with such extraordinary people during this tumultuous time. I look forward to sharing our collective rumination with you and a sincere thank you for your endless support. A big-ass hug from me to you, Kevin |
