Yellowstone Westgate Theatre Audition Notice

https://westgatetheatre.com/auditions/

The Westgate Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for our 2026 season in West Yellowstone, Montana! We are seeking experienced, aged 18+ performers for See How They Run, Annie Get Your Gun, and The Great Western Melodrama in alternating repertory.

Performers must be available full time from May 4th to August 27th, 2026. Pay starts at $3,500, including a rehearsal stipend, ten complimentary tickets to be used throughout the season, and provided housing.

Opportunities for additional pay are also available, including Box Office (hourly) and Technical positions (stipend). Actors may be paid an additional amount depending on their role(s) and experience.

See How They Run
A clever comedy set in a Rural English Vicarage during WWII. This side-splitting farce follows a vibrant cast of guests, including a Vicar and his American wife, a cockney maid, an old dowager who has a few too many drinks, a dignified bishop and an escaped POW. Mistaken identities, mayhem and merriment arise, leading to a chaotic series of door-slamming and wild chases.

Annie Get Your Gun
A classic musical by Irving Berlin featuring the romance between sharpshooter Annie Oakley and marksman Frank Butler in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. A wonderful, Wild West experience, this show highlights the legacy of the west and the heritage of American Show Business.
Including songs such as “Anything you can do, I can do better” and “No Business like Show Business”.

The Great Western Melodrama
The play must go on! This zany show stitches together the classic American Melodrama and the modern mishaps of shows that go wrong. When the cast of a Saloon show gets quarantined and the stagehands have to save the show (horribly miscast and under rehearsed), romance, poetry and victory saves the day against the villainous Jail breaker!

We are also seeking a number of technical/company positions to fill, including a Full time Stage Manager, Box Office Manager and Concessions Manager. If applying for a technical position, please email your resume to audi...@westgatetheatre.com. For more information about technical roles, including pay and contract dates, please refer to the bottom of this notice.

Performers are also expected to participate in our Variety Act and Preshow. Performers also work as theatrical staff, including selling concessions, seating audience members and cleaning the theatre.
-  All roles are available except for Miss Skillon in See How They Run and Winnie Tate and Tommy Keeler in Annie Get Your Gun.
-  We are seeking performers of color/Native American descent for the Role of Chief Sitting Bull in Annie Get your Gun.
-  We are also seeking a proficient, improvisational pianist to accompany the Melodrama, and perform ragtime piano throughout the summer. Preferably the pianist will also be an actor in the shows. You may also be asked to be a rehearsal pianist.
