The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater is pleased to announce dancer only Auditions for their upcoming production of An American In Paris.
With music by George and Ira Gershwin and a story based on the Oscar-winning 1951 film starring Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron, this stage adaptation took Broadway by storm in 2015, earning multiple Tony Awards including best choreography.
DANCER ONLY AUDITIONS -
An American in Paris will hold two separate dance calls. Dancers are only required to submit for one call. If the December call is best for you please do not submit at this time.
This specific posting is for DANCERS ONLY. Videos must be received no later than 11:59 pm on Monday, October 28, 2024 to be considered for the first round of callbacks.
The second dance call will take place during our OPEN AUDITIONS (more details coming next month). Video submissions for the second call must be received by Monday, December 2, 2024.
CALLBACKS -
In-person callbacks for this initial DANCERS ONLY call are scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, November 9, 2024 and will be by invitation only.
In-person callbacks for the OPEN AUDITIONS are scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, December 14, 2024 and will also be by invitation only.
FINAL CASTING will not be completed until after the Open Audition callbacks are completed.
REHEARSALS -
Rehearsal will begin on or around March 31, 2025.
PERFORMANCES -
An American in Paris runs in the Smith Grand Theater from June 13, 2025 – August 16, 2025.
