Being an Intern Comes with Real Perks

At the Pillow, interns live, work, learn, and create together at the longest-running dance festival in the U.S., cradled by the mountains of the Berkshires in Becket, MA. It's a summer filled with hands-on experience, performances, classes, events, a creative community, and learning moments you can't get anywhere else.

Beyond meaningful work in the arts, interns receive additional benefits:

Financial & Housing Support

$3,150 stipend (tax exempt)
Room & board in renovated on-campus housing
Three meals per day, plus snacks

Professional Development & Mentorship

Career talks, topical discussions, staff-led seminars, and training
Two interactive financial foundations workshops for artists and creatives, grounded in values and care, in collaboration with the Artist Resource Collective (ARC)

Immersion in the Festival Experience

Free admission to performances across all venues
Access to weekly dance workshops with renowned Festival artists and morning classes in a variety of different dance styles
Special events like the Pillow Pride Dance Party
