PADDLING PUPPETEERS:
Creating Environmental Awareness through Music and Puppetry

With Glen Caradus from the Peterborough Ecology Park

Join us as Trent alumnus Glen Caradus presents a 25-minute puppet and
music show on the natural and cultural history of the Otonabee River,
reviews his experiences using music and puppetry to create
environmental awareness, and concludes with a general overview of the
use of the arts as a way to create social and environmental change.

Date: Thursday, November 22, 2007
Time: 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.
Location: Kawartha World Issues Centre – Environmental Science Building B101
(basement, next to the Crypt)

The event is free and all are welcome to attend. Bring your lunch!

A Trent Native Studies graduate, Mr. Caradus is currently working at
the Peterborough Ecology Park, Camp Kawartha, and the Canadian Canoe
Museum, and is developing a horticultural program at the Peterborough
Psychiatric Hospital. He has been performing his environmental puppet
shows for the last eight years. In his spare time he appears in
various schools in the region as "Cool Captain Climate," promoting
climate-friendly lifestyles.
