Hi All,

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Sustainability Club has a lot planned for this upcoming week. Check out how you can get involved below! FREE FOOD!

Don't like to read? This short summary is just for you!
- Greensweep (3/23) - service plus cookout
- Hemp Workshop (3/19) - hempzels and hemp as a building material
- MFest Table (3/22) - volunteer at our M-Fest booth
- Romero Stations of the Cross (3/21) - help us sponsor an altar

GREENSWEEP

The event begins at noon on the 23rd at the Art Street Amphitheater with a cookout for the volunteers (you!) following around 3:30 or 4:00 PM. We will be working with grounds/facilities at UD! Sign up on the Greensweep Facebook page or join us this coming Sunday. Spread the word!

What we will be doing:

  • Cleaning up North and South Student Neighborhood
  • Marking water catch basins with "No Dumping, Drains to River" stickers
  • Landscaping at Veteran's Memorial Park
  • Finishing the Tree Trail by Roesch Library
  • Landscaping at Serenity Pines
  • Planting Native Shrubs between Stonemill Road and KL
  • Great Miami River Cleanup
  • Refreshing mulch trails on campus

Volunteers will be signing in at the beginning of the event for service hours. For any questions please contact Nichole Henger (heng...@udayton.edu).

Hemp Workshop

Our next general meeting will be this Wednesday (3/19) at 8:30 P.M. in Liberty Hall 08. We will be watching "Bringing It Home," a documentary about the creation of the nation's first hemp house. We will also have hemp based snacks, such as hempzels! Have questions? Feel free to shoot me an email. (schues...@udayton.edu)

MFest Table

We will be sponsoring a booth at M-Fest this Saturday (3/22). The booth will need to be worked from 12:00 - 6:00. Volunteering at our table allows you free entry into the event, so I will need your names in advance. Please sign up using the link below. Assuming the weather is good, we will have our Bike Blender at the event for people to use!
