1. President: To collectively, with the Vice President, guide the club in a direction that most adequately achieves UDSC’s mission statement. This includes delegating responsibilities to officers, overseeing finances, commencing events and initiatives, leading meetings, and acting as the head spokesperson and contact for the club. Additionally, the president will be responsible for chairing the Student Sustainability Coalition. This endeavor involves a lot of networking with outside organizations as well as being in touch with the various university committees related to sustainability. Refer to Amendment 1 for more details on the Coalition.
2. Vice President of Operations: To collectively, with the President, guide the club in a direction that most adequately achieves UDSC’s mission statement. The Vice President is responsible for organizing UDSC meetings and other operations. This includes structuring the meetings with beneficial activities, ensuring that necessary preparations are fulfilled, and conducting the meeting with the President. The Vice President also assists the President with delegation of club responsibilities and any other tasks that the President sees fit.
3. Vice President of Finance (Treasurer): To oversee and document all club financial activity. This involves handling the club’s finances and budgeting as well as investigating fundraising opportunities and business ventures. The treasurer will be responsible for reimbursing members for expenses that are supported by the club. They must also work with the Terracycle (Waste Programs) director to ensure that funds are transferred appropriately. The treasurer’s job is very important in upholding to the economic aspect of the sustainability tripod.
4. Executive Assistant: To manage the club calendar and ensure that reminder emails are sent within 24 hours before each club event. The Executive Assistant must become familiar with the proceedings of Student Life and Kennedy Union. This includes filing paperwork for events, managing the roster on the community page, and ensuring that various online club descriptions and information is up to date. They must also keep any records and assist with other minor tasks that the President and Vice President see necessary.
