So it turns out Fig won't be around for Saturday, meaning the Deadly Nightshades won't be able to close the night out for us. Jana, do you do anything solo? Should we try to find someone as a last minute replacement, or just leave the entertainment with Rich and Beth Murch?

Also, we sold 2 day pads today, so we only have 1 left. We'll probably have to take orders to fulfill later.

Jana, would it be possible to bring some of the consent handouts you'd had out last night? Koleta would like to take a look at some of it on Saturday.

I think that's all I've got for now :)

a close to the night.

yep, i can bring the hand outs and ill also have more consent zines.

thanks!

It went pretty well. We had a lot of good discussion, but just like yesterday, time got away from us and we didn't get to spend as much time as we'd like to on certain things (in other words, Sarah's entire cycle charting section didn't get as much time because everyone was so into talking about their menstruation experiences!) Perhaps we need to do these as 2 separate workshops to give them both the time they deserve.

Also yes i am excited and nervous for my workshop tonight. I don't have as many smal jars as i would like, but i will talk to participants and see if getting a small amount of tincture to pick up in a few weeks is something they wanna do. We will also be making a salve that will be a take home item. And lots of talking about herbs and loving your body with foods!

I'm making a ballot jar and a list of prizes sheet for the draw tomorrow. I'm also printing off little ingredient lists for the teas that Esther made, so we can slip those into the thank you bags (so excited for the cards that Jana made for the thank you bags! I saw a preview of them on Tuesday and they were fabulous!)

Lauren, just a reminder to bring Ashley's felt art piece. I have it listed as one of the prizes for the draw.

Is anyone willing to put together a little emergency kit? (things like tape, labels, thread and scissors... maybe even bandaids?) I know Tamara was going to do it, but I think she needs to focus on getting well (Thanks for the hummus and snacks that you sent over yesterday, by the way. It was really sweet!)

Otherwise, I think we're ready to go for tomorrow! Hooray!

I've got it. I'm not 100% yet but I am feeling better. I will still be making the soup and such for tomorrow and I will put together the kit. Is there anything specific you think should be in there?

Also, question about the food; when should I bring it over to the Commons? Do we have a way to keep it heated?

The food and the emergency kit will be taken care of but I can't guarantee I'll have time to make the cards nicely. I really wasn't intending on being bed-ridden this long. I haven't attended class all week and I've been essentially horizontal the whole time. Can those be handled?

I'm so happy to hear you're feeling a bit better! Please don't stress. Only do what you can manage easily. Yes, the Commons can keep our soup heated. They had this to say in a previous email: "You can definitely use the café dishes. You can use our hot plate for soup, keeping in mind it takes a while to heat up so we would want that to be one of the first things we get ready when you arrive."

We're planning on getting to the Commons for 5pm to start setting up, so any time after 5 would be good to bring the food over.

I haven't got any paper left after all the printing I did for this week - Does anyone have any paper they could bring for the tent card labels? We can probably make tent cards on the spot while we're there setting up. As long as we have a few pens, we can get the artists to label things themselves. All we'd need to do is cut paper to an appropriate size and fold.

As for the emergency kit, I think tape, scissors, thread, pens...

Are we just looking for regular blank paper to make the cards from? I can bring those. I'll be bringing brown paper bags for the gifts and music.

Sadly Koleta told me she can't come tomorrow anymore...:(.

ya'll are great.

Also, Deana was hoping that you could bring her cell phone to the commons tomorrow as well (Michelle) is that cool?

I think that blank paper is probably all we need. Nothing too fancy.

And yep! I was planning on bringing her phone with me. It's already packed in my suitcase so I don't forget it :)

I am on my way to the Farmer's Market now. The only thing I am worried about is that I cannot find the pads I made over the holidays. I didn't unpack in any organized way due to being sick and now I can't find them. I have to get to the market early but then I will resume my search.

Tamara,

Don't worry about the pads too much. I didn't bring the snap press as I didn't know if it would be worth hauling around.

I am not at home so I can't really prep much else in terms of an emergency kit...

See you all tonight!
