Dear participants of the LEO-4000 NSA Standard development process -

I have been getting many inquiries so I’ll go ahead and update you all...I had been asked not to uproot the progress made with news about the status change in leadership for this project, but I feel it is important to clarify since it was causing confusion.

We currently lack funding for the management of this project. So I was informed weeks ago of my lay off, pending more funding coming in. Nothing has come in so far so today is my last day. The experienced Standards Development Manager John Rodgers, who some of you know, will devote part of his time to this, as possible, along with Michael Arny. I am sorry to leave you and the draft standard.

I have genuinely enjoyed working the past 3 years with the selfless volunteers in a field that is my passion. I have poured everything into this draft and its participants with the resources I had. Thank you for lending your time, expertise and donations to making it all possible. I am glad you are so close to finishing the draft and are able to have a product to show for all your endless hard work; you are in a good position to advance it. I hope Leo and the committee find funding for the advancement and pilot of this vital and timely program. If you can donate or know of entities that can, please support Leonardo Academy in this endeavor. As for me, if you have any employment opportunities in the continental U.S. , have questions, or wish to stay in touch, please feel free to contact me at jennife...@gmail.com. I will no longer receive emails at this account. My cell is 608-577-9822. Thank you for your participation. This is most important work. I know we will all meet again in it somehow!

Warm regards,

Jennifer Trucks

Jennifer,

This is very sad news and I am so sorry to lose you on this project.  Here’s hoping something emerges to keep us (and you) on track!  The nonprofit world is really struggling right now, I know, and we would hate to see this important endeavor lost.

Peggy

Dear Jennifer,

You have been the heart and "glue" keeping this project on track. We will miss you. Although I have been unable during the last year to be deeply involved due to unavoidable obligations, I have been able to at least follow progress and am clear about the essential role you have played. Lets hope that some way can be found to keep you involved (or restore your involvement in the very near future, before momentum is lost).

With concern and kind regards,

John
