Please see below three events from the Bishopston Cotham Redland Energy Group. The group is going from strength to strength at the moment and everyone is welcome to attend.

With the recent announcement of a new Ashley Down Station the first event may be of particular interest.

Hi Gavin

Please would you put the following BCR Energy Group events on the website:

Tuesday 9th July

Tina Biggs, Campaign Lead for Friends of Bristol Suburban Railways (FOSBR) will be giving an overview of current plans for Bristol's trains. There will be plenty of time for Q & A, and a chance to understand how Bristol citizens and commuters need to be lobbying for improved services.

What contribution can Bristol's local railway network make to the city's transport problems? What's happening with the Portishead line?  What difference will the planned Portway station make?  Which other stations will we see opened in the next few years?

Please sign up on Eventbrite here

Tuesday 6th August

Screening of the film Food Inc.  This is about the industrial production of livestock, grains and vegetables by large corporations in the USA and its effect on the environment and our health.

Tuesday 10th September

Tom Coles from Bideford-based firm Mitchell and Dickinson will talk about insulating a period home.

Where should people start? Where are the easiest wins? Is there any way of insulating walls or is that just impossible? Are there any grant sources to help?

Mike Andrews will also talk briefly about The C.H.E.E.S.E. Project.

The venue for these meetings will be the Kensington Arms, Stanley Road, BS6 6NP, commencing at 7pm.

Many thanks
