Hi Bridget

I very much like this update format. Very useful.

I’ve struggled to get to BEG meetings due to other commitments on Thurs but am keen to be involved.

I note that you’ve sent this to individual emails rather than the mailing group. Is this still ‘live’?

Eric

Hi all

There are some (short) notes attached from the Bemmie Energy Group meeting last night, as a quick update on where we're at, and also to see if you have any brilliant ideas for helping some or all of it to happen.

There are some amazing projects, schemes and events to get involved with, including supporting local insulation and solar PV schemes (homes and community buildings), developing a whole street retrofit plan, solar thermal workshops, local research with UWE, a video library, and events in Bedminster Skills Week and Big Green Week.

But... with house moves and lots of other personal and family commitments, the existing group is a bit stretched. So the plan is to figure out who would like to get involved with what, meet in March to solidify plans, and see if we can't tempt in some new volunteers to join in.

Any thoughts, ideas, or offers to lead on a project or piece of work very welcome!

Bridget

Hi everyone!

And thanks Eric for suggesting broadening this out to the Sustainable Southville group.

Here is the link to a doodle poll for a March meeting to see if we can get a few peeps together and make some plans for Bedminster Energy Group activities between now and the summer.

We had a little meeting last week and there are some amazing projects, schemes and events we could get involved with, including supporting local insulation and solar PV schemes (homes and community buildings), developing a whole street retrofit plan, solar thermal workshops, local research with UWE, a video library, and events in Bedminster Skills Week and Big Green Week.

It would be great to have a good crowd for the next one and get some things moving! Also great to know if you would be willing to be called on for odd bits of support (e.g. helping out at an event) but can't commit any great chunks of time... if that's the case just drop me a line and I'll pull together a list.

All the best

Bridget

Hello all

Regarding previous emails from last month and minutes of last BEG meeting, please keep me on the list of keen people who (if pos) will attend a stall at future events. Also like some of you, I too have a lot of things to sort, so I feel I do not have time to be involved in anything else - at least for now.

I think it would be wise to re-instate another BEG member for emails. Unfortunately I have found myself to occupied with other things to think about it, sorry.

There is a person who would like to come to next meeting (mid March) and seems keen to join the group. Neil Elliot, some of you may know, has badgered me for last few weeks so, hopefully I can bring him along to the next meeting.

Kind regards

Vincent (on the move)
