Subject: Introducing the Bristol Community Building Fund

Hello!

We'd like to let you know that the Bristol Community Building Fund has opened for applications to improve the energy efficiency of community buildings in the city, thanks to funding from Bristol City Council.

Community groups within the Bristol City Council area can apply for grants of up to £4,000 in order to pay for simple but effective energy efficiency improvements to not only reduce their energy costs but also reduce the carbon emissions of the buildings they use for their activities.

£20,000 is available in total to enable community buildings to improve their energy efficiency. The grant is being administered by the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) who can also provide expert advice and guidance to help groups to carry out an audit of their buildings.

Eligible measures include insulating loft spaces, draught proofing windows and doors, improving heating systems and installing low energy lighting systems. Applications will be assessed based on expected carbon savings achieved.

The application process is simple. Groups are asked to submit a short application form and provide quotes for recommended improvements, as well as completing a simple energy audit of their building. Awards are made on a first come first served basis so apply now to avoid missing out.

Guidance and an application pack are downloadable from www.cse.org.uk/bcbf or email bc...@cse.org.uk for more information.

Please pass these details to anyone who you think may be interested.

All the best,

Bristol Community Building Fund team
