Hi All,
Please attend one of C4JustWater’s two Public Forums in Marina, April 11th and 17th, to learn more about Cal Am’s final EIR and the harm to our groundwater resources, water rates, public rights and habitat that it green-lights. This is a real issue for Marina and for all of us. Hoping you’ll take a look at what’s at risk and get involved.

Alert from Citizens for Just Water on Cal Am’s final EIR
PWN supports Marian’s Just Water. Their fight to stop Cal Am from stealing their ground water for Cal Am’s desal plant is the Peninsula’s fight too. Citizens for Just Water’s goal is to stop the Cal Am desal project on the Cemex site.
The Final Environmental Impact Report on the Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project including Cal Am's proposed desal project is now available.
See it here: http://www.cpuc.ca.gov/environment/info/esa/mpwsp/feir-eis_toc.html
We need to respond to the final EIR in the brief window allowed.
The public comment period ends April 19th!
Please join us at one of our EIR forums to discuss the Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project.
We will review parts of the EIR and provide general updates and specific actions.
Some area we will cover are the flaws of the Cal-Am Slant Well Project at CEMEX site, Dr. Knight’s final groundwater survey results and how Marina and Marina Coast Water District will challenge this project.
