Please take note of what’s happening in August. Three new City Commissions will be considered in a study session at this Thursday’s Successor Agency Joint Special Meeting, at 5:30pm. The public is encouraged to participate and weigh in on the establishment of these three important commissions. Commission Drafts are included in the agenda packet.
Thursday, August 3, 5:30 PM, Seaside City Council Successor Agency Joint Special Meeting. The council will hold a study session for the Affordable Housing Commission, Environmental Commission, and Commission on the Status of Homelessness Drafts of Commission mission and membership requirements are included in the agenda packet HERE.

Thursday, August 3, 5:30 PM, LandWatch and the Transportation Agency of Monterey County (TAMC) will sponsor a panel discussion and public forum on The Future of Highway 68: Safety and Traffic Relief. The public is invited.

Tuesday, August 15, 6:30 PM, Seaside Council members Campbell and Pacheco will host a Town Hall meeting to address fireworks in Seaside at Oldemeyer Center. The purpose of the meeting is to listen to resident concerns, consider community benefits, provide information, and seek solutions to create a stronger Seaside.
The public is invited to participate and share ideas.

Fri/Sat/Sun, August 25-27, West End Celebration in Sand City. Free, family-friend celebration of community, commerce, and culture transforms the streets of Sand City into a Celebration of the Arts of every genre. Delicious, gourmet foods, and local, craft beer will be available, as well as wine tasting from local wineries. Stop by the Sustainable Seaside table to say “Hi” and learn about our Sept. 9th Sustainable Living Tour and other projects.
