calendar. Two of the meetings will present proposals
for increasing the supply of affordable housing in the
region.
Tuesday, August 15, 6:30 PM, Seaside Council members
Jason Campbell and Dave Pacheco will host a Town Hall
meeting to address fireworks in Seaside at Oldemeyer
Center. The purpose of the meeting is to listen to
resident concerns, consider community benefits, provide
information, and seek solutions. The public is invited
to participate and share ideas.

Housing Trust Press Event will share an announcement
concerning the housing initiative to support an
increase in the supply of housing in the Monterey Bay
Region. Congressman Jimmy Panetta and Mayor Joe Gunter
will provide welcoming comments, and key partners of
the MBHT will be present to answer questions and share
details.

Council/Successor Agency Joint Special Meeting. Item
A under “6. Business Items”, the Council will discuss
and receive direction on unsolicited proposals
regarding the Nurses Barracks site currently owned by
the Fort Ord Reuse Authority while ESCA cleanup is
being completed. Local developer A. P. Glover has
presented a 42-page presentation to the staff, which is
included in the agenda packet. He is proposing to
partner with auto dealer, Mr. Joe Cardinale to turn the
old Nurses' Quarters into workforce housing to attract
needed teachers to CSUMB and MPUSD. For more
