Below I have copy / pasted info from a petition regarding legislation
of fuel economy standards and emission limits. I feel that the fleet
standard of 19% over more than 20 years is way too low and I encourage
you to mention this in the little box they provide for
personalization.

Fleets often have a regular service interval and a number of vehicles
of the same model, making it relatively simple to implement solutions.
It would make the most sense to encourage greater standards for these
largely corporate and government owned and operated vehicles.

Last week, the EPA and Department of Transportation began public
hearings on the nation's first greenhouse gas pollution standards.

The federal agencies need to hear from you about the new fuel economy
benchmarks and emission limits for passenger vehicles. »

Right now, passenger cars and light-trucks emit nearly 20 percent of
the nation's greenhouse gases in the form of carbon dioxide, methane,
nitrous oxide, and hydrofluorocarbons. The proposed standards are a
bold initiative to reduce these emissions and break our addiction to
oil.

And it can be done with today's technology.

We're at a critical milestone in the effort to regulate global warming
pollution -- let the EPA know you support the proposed emission
standards! »

Thanks for taking action!
