This is part of the continuing trend into a grand solar minimum or mini ice age. It seems it is being to some extent covered-up. Are they trying to restrict potential panic as food shortages, and even energy shortfalls beset us in the coming decades? The Sun is presently (and for perhaps the next 50 years) cooling.
Solar scientists have been predicting this stuff, it's just that not many have been listening.
