Food Growing in the Subtopics
Sustainable Maleny extends much thanks to Frances and Jeff Michaels from Green Harvest for their talk in March on home gardening and food growing in the subtropics. There was a much larger turn out than expected ...over fifty people. As well as the slides of the plants Francese was discussing, she bought along samples for people to taste and plant and gifted gardening information packs to those attending.
A number of people have asked for the talk to be repeated and Frances says she may possibly be able to do another one some time before or during the next rainy season.
If people want to order from Green Harvest (a mail order business not a shop), go online to www.greenharvest.com.au, or order over the phone 5435 2699. Locals can pick up orders at the front desk by arrangement.
