Life seems pretty stable here in Delaware, OH, but the world around us sure seems to be facing complexity, chaos, and collapse--climate disruption, political instability, accelerating technology, rising income inequality, conflicts and the threat of expanding warfare, species extinction... the polycrisis. Does all that weigh on you too?

Author, Will Richardson is hosting Confronting Education cohorts of "deep inquiry into this unique and challenging moment" at https://futureserious.school/. If you are an educator or work in education, I encourage you to sign up for cohort #5, that starts online in June.

Is anyone interested in doing something similar locally? I'd be happy to facilitate! I don't have a planned curriculum, but there are plenty of books we could read together and discuss, including Hospicing Modernity, At Work in the Ruins, or even Something in the Woods Loves You. This is an invitation to "face what’s coming together: to build the emotional, relational, and imaginative capacities [everyone] will need to lead and teach in times of collapse and possibility." It's also the work of Inner Transition, reimagining the way we live.
