When you get your electricity aggregation letter from Dynegy, DON’T THROW IT AWAY!

For the next year, the default if you don’t call Dynegy will be “brown power,” largely from fossil fuels.  If you want 100% renewable energy, you have to call Dynegy at 1-888-682-2170 to enroll.  If you don't, you will get brown power.

This is a change for the new one-year renewal of the program because, unlike two years ago, the renewable energy choices are pricing too close to the standard rate for the City to be confident that it won’t be undercut by the standard rate by the end of the contract.

Unfortunately, because of pricing changes, none of the options will save you the hundreds of dollars that aggregation customers saved during the first aggregation contract.  Most customers will likely save between $25 - $100 for the year.  That’s why the City is only running the new contract for a single year.   

If you currently have a contract with a third-party supplier, you will not be receiving an aggregation letter.
