Hello all,
I hope that everyone is doing well! There are many exciting happenings related to our city’s Sustainable DC initiative. A consultant has been hired to help us create the implementation plan. We have been hosting a series of cross-cutting meetings on health, education, jobs, and equity. And I’m sure there will be more details to follow on that front.
But in the meantime, I wanted to let you all know that the District government has just released a request for proposals (RFP) for a Comprehensive Energy Plan (see attached). The energy plan will explore the ideas that we discussed in our Energy Working Group and integrate with the Sustainable DC implementation plan, but will also delve deeper into energy issues than what the consultants on the overall Sustainable DC plan can do. If any of you are energy planning consultants, please consider responding to the RFP.
And thanks again to all of you for your involvement in Sustainable DC and dedication to a better future for the District of Columbia!
