FW: Seattle learns from its Raingarden projects mistakes

Related to best practices, there are also mistakes other cities have
made. We can learn from their mistakes. Here’s an article from the
Seattle Post-Intelligencer about Seattle’s failed bioswales in public
spaces (Low Impact Development). Please note that Seattle developed
many pilot projects such as the ones featured in this article and a
majority of them were effective. Please share with the Built
Environment, Water, Nature and Climate groups, since I know these
groups are interested in LIDs and some have started discussing their
application in DC neighborhoods with their groups.
