Hello all,

 

You are invited to attend a kick off meeting of the Sustainability Coalition Economic Vitality Action Team. The meeting will be Thursday Nov. 12 from 11am – 1 pm. Location will be emailed early next week. Snacks will be provided but you are welcome to bring your lunch.

 

Prior to the meeting, please review the attached Economic Vitality Action Plan describing the Goals, Strategies and Actions determined by the Coalition Work Groups last year and think about areas you may be interested in being involved with.

 

Here are the goals of the meeting:

·      Share what is currently happening around each of the action plan goals

·      Solicit additional support around the existing work / projects

·      Identify one to three new areas of focus and the leadership to move them forward

·      Determine next steps

1.    Introductions – 5-10 minutes

2.    Review Economic Vitality action plan developed by team – Bruce  10 minutes

3.    Learn a bit about what is currently happening in each goal area  30-45 minutes

a.     Buy Local  Strategies: Buy local campaign and local currencies implementation

b.     Invest Local Strategies: Sustainable investment fund and loan program; Angel investment conference

·      Local investment person

c. Produce Local Strategies: Process 10% of local agricultural products; support PTF sustainable business development

·      Food Biz Boot Camp
