Do you love noticing and appreciating the pockets of wild all around us, even in the middle of a college campus? That's the spirit of Spring Creek Project's Campus Wild program, which received 117 creative submissions from across the Corvallis and campus communities
this year.
Student prizes in each creative category (visual art, poetry, prose, field guide entry, photography, and video/sound) have been awarded, and these students and select community members will be presenting their work at the June 3 Campus Wild Celebration. This
is a free, public event, and we hope you'll join us to celebrate these students and the program as a whole.
In addition to presentations, the event will include a talk by Dan Blanchard, curator of living plant collections at OSU, which is a certified arboretum. Dan will share some inspiring details about the incredible diversity of trees and plants on the OSU campus.
You won't want to miss this! You'll also get a chance to view the Campus Wild Exhibition, featuring additional works in the PRAx Arts Corridor (a sneak peek image is below — a brown garden snail by the student winner in the visual arts category).
Please share the event page around to anyone you think may be interested and RSVP if you can join us:
Refreshments will be served.
