Hello,

Benton County’s Sustainability Program is pleased to announce we are hiring a paid Climate Action Intern that will run through at least June, 2026. As background, Benton County has a clear, ambitious carbon emissions reduction goal, annually calculates the County government’s carbon emissions, and tracks progress of the County’s Climate Action Plan. The Internship will be instrumental in calculating County greenhouse gas emissions, researching carbon mitigation opportunities, and assisting on reducing our climate impacts. Of note, previous interns include the manager of a community renewable energy program at OR Dept. of Energy, and another that currently works to calculate inventories for Fortune 500 companies.

The application is attached, and the deadline to apply is Friday, December 5. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thank you.
