Hello fellow Corvallis Sustainability Coalition Members,

Are you interested in helping to educate kids about the Environment and how they can have an impact on the future?   Consider joining the Education Action Team.

The Education Action Team is looking for a few more members.  Our team is focused on working with the Green Team Stewards (usually teachers) in each school in the Corvallis School District to help them with projects and take some of the workload off of them.  We are also planning to have monthly environmental activity nights in each K-8 school led by members of our team.

We currently have openings at Mountain View Elementary School and Linus Pauling Middle School.  The Education Action Team meets the third Tuesday of each month at 1:00 pm for about an hour to discuss our work and collaborate on projects.  Most Green Teams meet one day a week, usually after school, so the total time commitment is approximately 5-6 hours per month.

If you are interested, please contact me at Rachel...@comcast.net, and I’ll be happy to send you a brief application form.

For more information, visit the Education Action Team webpage:  https://sustainablecorvallis.org/action-teams/education/.

Thanks,

Thank you to everyone who responded to our request for new Education Action Team members.  We are pleased to say that we have 8 new members and now have all schools in the Corvallis School district covered with Representative to help the Green Teams and School Stewards.  That said, I won't be needing any more reps for this year.  Keep helping the earth any way you can!  Think globally, act locally.  Or, as Dan Orzech of the Oregon Clean Power Cooperative says, "Think Globally, Invest Locally!"  Info at:

Thanks again,
