Sustainable Student Employment Initiative
The Social Advocacy Network of Disabilities (SAND) is excited to announce that we have become a Federal Work-Study Community Partner Employer with Oregon State University.
This partnership creates a sustainable pathway for students to gain meaningful, real-world experience while supporting disability advocacy, accessibility, and community engagement throughout Oregon.
Through the Federal Work-Study program, Oregon State University covers approximately 75% of eligible student wages, while SAND contributes the remaining 25%. This innovative model allows community resources to go further while creating employment opportunities that help students build skills, leadership experience, and professional connections.
SAND is committed to creating opportunities for students with disabilities and students interested in nonprofit leadership, disability advocacy, accessibility, social services, and community engagement.
Just $2,000 can sustain one student work-study position for an entire academic year.
Your support helps students:
• Gain real-world professional experience
• Build resumes and career pathways
• Learn disability-led advocacy and inclusion practices
• Strengthen Oregon communities
• Create a more accessible future

Need Blue Bags or BottleDrop Stickers?
Simply send us an email, and we’d be happy to provide Blue Bags and stickers. When possible, we can even arrange a drop-off to make participating easy and convenient.
If You Can, Can!
Every bottle recycled.
Every dollar donated.
Every student empowered.
Thank you for helping us build a more inclusive future while creating meaningful employment opportunities for students.
