Hello everyone! The Benton County Cooperative Weed Management Area (Benton County CWMA) invites you to register for this year's Let's Pull Together event! Let's Pull Together is an annual weed pull event where Benton CWMA member organizations host volunteers
at project sites all across the county. Across these projects, volunteers remove harmful invasive plants such as oxeye daisy, bird cherry, English ivy, blackberry, garlic mustard, and more. This event helps keep our natural areas in balance and is a great
opportunity to meet folks in the community/learn more about the work of these organizations.
Never heard of this event? Check out this
short video that highlighted the 2025 projects!
There are five project sites on the docket this year:
-
Witham Hill Natural Area in NW Corvallis with Marys River Watershed Council & Corvallis Parks & Recreation
-
Takena Landing in North Albany with Albany Parks & Recreation
-
Marys Peak with the Institute for Applied Ecology
-
Old Peak with the Institute for Applied Ecology
-
Harkens Lake near Monroe with Greenbelt Land Trust
Please join us in volunteering for one of these projects on
Saturday, May 16th from 9 or 10 AM - noon (start time varies by project site). See the
registration page for
more information about each project. Volunteers will receive more detailed information about their site after the registration period closes. Bring water, gloves, and your enthusiasm—we'll provide the rest!
