Hi everyone,
On Wednesday, February 11th at 5:30pm in PRAx’s Detrick Hall, Sarah Jaquette Ray will speak on the role of emotions in climate advocacy and how we can come together to address the many interlocking crises we now face. Sarah is an environmental humanist, professor of Environmental Studies at Cal Poly Humboldt, mindfulness teacher, author, and podcaster. She found, after years of teaching “gloom and doom” environmentalism to college students, that emotions are a critical leverage point in our struggle for climate justice.
Sarah is an energizing speaker, and she will leave you feeling hopeful about our collective ability to build a better future.
Presented by Spring Creek Project, the Center for the Future of Forests and Society, OSU’s Sustainability Double Degree Program, and OSU’s Sustainability Office, this talk is a FREE but TICKETED event. Please reserve your tickets HERE. Please share widely and bring your friends!
