World Car Free Day in CorvallisSaturday, September 22, 2012

 

10 am to 10 pm Bike Valet at Fall Festival (Monroe & 6th – next to the Transit Center)

  • Safe, secure bike parking – Free!
  • Pledge Cards/Prize Drawing* – Fill out a Pledge Card to enter the drawing for GREAT prizes.
  • Car Free Day T-shirts – Purchase an organic cotton T-shirt with our Car Free Day design, and help spread the word about how easy it is to travel car free in Corvallis.

 

10 am to 6 pm Car Free Day Promenade (Booths along Madison Avenue between 5th & 6th – in front of City Hall)

  • Blue Sky Learn about the renewable energy options that are available through Pacific Power.  See how you can offset 100% of your electricity with clean, renewable, and Pacific NW-sourced.
  • Cascades West Rideshare –– Trip assistance information for commuting and single trips.  Learn about Drive Less Connect – the free online tool for finding others going your way for work or play.
  • City of Corvallis – Learn how you can reduce single-occupancy vehicle trips by exploring a variety of transportation options.
  • Energize Corvallis Sign up for FREE energy-saving light bulbs and FREE low-flow faucet aerators. Choose three energy-saving actions to try this fall and get your exclusive Take Charge Coupon Card.
  • Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center – Bring your bike for the best fit possible by triathlete, triathlon coach and physical therapist Nathan Smith, PT, of Samaritan Physical Rehabilitation in Corvallis.

10 am to 6 pm Bike Swap Meet (Madison Avenue Meeting Room parking lot - Madison & 5th)

  • Donations/consignments – Bring in your unwanted bicycles between 10 am and 4 pm, and keep 85% of sales and/or purchase one from the Corvallis Bicycle Collective.
