Open Streets is TODAY – Sunday, June 29, from 11 am to 3 pm – and we hope to see you there!

The Sustainability Coalition will be at three separate locations:

  • The WASTE PREVENTION Action Team Booth (at Lilly Park) focuses on ways to reduce what you’re sending to Coffin Butte Landfill.
  • The WATER Action Team Booth (on SE Alexander Avenue, between Bethel and Thompson) focuses on the lost creeks and wetlands of South Corvallis.
  • The ENERGY Action Team and HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES Action Team Booth (at Willamette Park) focuses on two aspects of climate change: protecting yourself from the impacts of hot weather and making your home and workplace more climate-friendly through energy efficiency.

Go HERE to see the list of ALL the great activities that will be happening TODAY at Open Streets.

See you there!

Annette

I live within the traditional homeland of the Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya.  Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya …Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations at either Grand Ronde or Siletz. Today, the Kalapuya live on tribal lands or tribal-ceded lands throughout the region. Many Kalapuya are active members of the sovereign nations of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde or the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Kalapuya culture is alive. To learn more, please check out the online Champinefu Webinar Series, plan a trip to the Chachalu Museum and Cultural Center, and/or make a gift to our Champinefu Fund.
