How cold-water fish cope with summer in warm rivers
In this talk, we will hear from Associate Professor Jonny Armstrong about his research on the Willamette River and the Upper Klamath Basin, which explores what fish do during the warmest parts of the year. His field studies show that coastal cutthroat and redband trout use a variety of behavioral and physiological tactics. These tactics differ not only from one river system to another, but even among individual fish.
