NATIONAL TRAILS DAY WORK PARTY
Join Greenbelt staff and fellow volunteers to celebrate National Trails Day and give back to the trails at Bald Hill Farm! Help us open up overgrown trails. Work to remove brush, logs, and grass encroaching on the trail and make sure the trails are in great shape for Run for the Hills the following day.

RUN FOR THE HILLS
Scenic and challenging 30k, half marathon and 8k trail races through Bald Hill Park, Fitton Green Natural Area, Greenbelt Land Trust, and Crestmont Land Trust in Corvallis with great views and fun courses. Easy 2 mile walk/run almost entirely on smooth paved path (except for last bit across gravel parking lot to finish) and 1/4 mile kids run are fun for the entire family. OREGON VESPER SPARROW TALK AND WALK
American Bird Conservancy ornithologist Bob Altman has worked with Greenbelt Land Trust since 2017 to research Oregon Vesper Sparrow at Bald Hill Farm and other Greenbelt sites. Bob will lead an informative talk about the sparrow, current research, and how we are working to provide the habitat it needs at Bald Hill Farm, and then take a walk to see what we are doing and hopefully see some birds. Nancy Evenson, a retired architect, offers free home retrofit clinics to help you move along the path toward increased energy efficiency. Nancy will analyze your home’s current use of energy and help you identify the most important upgrades and the financial incentives that help you get there.
