TAP TALK
BANNED BOOKS & INTELLECTUAL FREEDOM
Public libraries facilitate access to critical information without censorship. But, in the last two years, there has been an unprecedented number of book challenges and bans in libraries across the United States. Learn about targeted titles, how the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library is protecting intellectual freedom, and ways to advocate for diverse public resources from Bonnie Brzozowski (Public Services Librarian) and Kristy Kemper Hodge (Teen Services Librarian).
Before the presentation (5:00 – 5:30 pm), make stickers and find info for enhancing health and enlightenment at the resource booth. All day (11:00 am – 8:00 pm), enjoy tasty food and drink, and Common Fields will donate 10% of dine-in & takeout sales to support Corvallis School District Libraries.
SUNDAY, JUNE 11 (5:30 – 6:30 pm)
