The Great Move Out - volunteers needed!

Hello again everyone,

More volunteers are needed for the Great Move Out!

A June sustainability tradition, the Great Move Out is looking for volunteers to sort, move and recycle items collected from student housing. A key goal of this project is to divert items from landfills and either redistribute usable goods to community non-profits or collect them for recycling. Shift times are available between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. June 9-15.

Thank you so much for sharing the Great Move Out volunteer opportunity with your friends or groups!  It's great to see the volunteer shifts filling up.  

The Great Move Out is just days away, and there are still several shifts to fill - particularly the recycling shifts.  Recycling volunteers make it possible for us to keep up with the volume in the residence halls and prevent recycle items from going into the dumpster.  Recycling volunteers also help free up staff to operate more recycling and donation trucks during the effort and to oversee sorting and donation of items.
